We are seeking an exceptional Street Scene Enforcement and Education Officer who will be responsible for investigating and resolving environmental complaints and service requests across the borough. This includes issues relating to abandoned, untaxed, oversized and dangerous vehicles, fly-tipping, littering, waste management offences, duty of care compliance, and harassment linked to environmental nuisances.

The role involves gathering evidence, conducting inspections, liaising with residents and partner agencies, educating the public on environmental responsibilities, and taking appropriate and proportionate enforcement action against offenders in line with council procedures and legislation.

The post supports Basildon Council's commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and sustainable environment for residents while helping to address anti-social behaviour and protect community wellbeing.
