Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a hard‑working individual to work within Basildon Council’s Sheltered Housing Department. As a Housing Officer (Sheltered) you will be assisting tenants and leaseholders with housing related support. This is a key role in delivering the council’s commitment to safeguarding our older vulnerable residents and promoting health and independent living for as long as possible.

Key Responsibilities

The main duty is to provide our tenants and leaseholders with a cost‑effective, high‑quality housing related support service. This will include identifying additional support services that may be required as our residents’ needs change, making referrals to other agencies if necessary and identifying any safeguarding issues for our vulnerable residents.
