WELCOME TO BASF BASF Pharma Callanish Ltd based on the Isle of Lewis, in the Western Isles of Scotland, and is a global leader manufacturing highly-concentrated omega-3 fatty acids, for pharmaceutical, clinical nutrition and general nutrition applications.
The Warehouse Operator will be responsible for ensuring the warehouse operates according to site Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices in the procedures connected to goods in, goods out and stock control.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT- Operate warehouse equipment in compliance with BASF Responsible Care Management Systems and UK Legislation.
- Dispatch final product, receive and book in: Incoming material orders, intermediates and manufactured product in accordance with BASF computerised Stock Control System and Site Standard Operating Procedures. This role has Known Consigner responsibilities.
- Receive, Load and/or offload iso tankers of raw material in accordance with BASF computerised Stock Control System and Site Standard Operating Procedures.
- Improve and sustain warehouse standards, including documentation using lean principles. Following identified procedures and checklists to ensure the plant is maintained in a clean, tidy and safe condition.
- Support Manufacturing in day-to-day operations to ensure operations meet customer requirements and participation in internal and external audits.
- Level 6 Known Consigner Training and FLT license, training on both these items will be provided.
- Previous cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing experience is desirable.
- Experience of stock control systems and Warehouse Operations is desirable.
- Systems literate, SAP, Windows, Excel and Word.
- Experience of Permit to Work and Risk Assessments is desirable.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work on your own or within a team.
