About Us: At Back to the Bases Ltd, we are a well-established construction company with a reputation for delivering high-quality services to our clients. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced bricklayer with strong paving skills to join our growing team.
We are looking for a motivated and reliable bricklayer who is confident in all aspects of paving, including block paving, driveways, patios, walkways, porcelain (non-permeable grout) and sandstone installation. The successful candidate will work on a variety of exciting residential and commercial projects, delivering high-quality work on time and in line with industry standards.
Duties
- Lay bricks and blocks in various settings, including foundations and walls
- Install block paving, patios, driveways, and walkways
- Confidently lay porcelain (with non-perm grout) and sandstone paving
- Read and interpret construction plans and drawings
- Ensure all work complies with health & safety and building regulations
- Maintain high-quality workmanship with excellent attention to detail
- Work collaboratively with team members and other trades on site
- Adhere to project deadlines and site requirements
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bricklayer and paving specialist
- Skilled in block paving, driveways, patios, porcelain, and sandstone
- Ability to interpret technical plans and drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- CSCS card and relevant trade qualifications (preferred)
- Own tools and transport (advantageous)
