Overview

Great opportunity for technically minded person to join this established manufacturing business in the engineering testing laboratory; R&D happens here and the multitude of products undergo rigorous testing by the team using state of the art equipment and procedures. The successful person will spend the first six months in training before taking on projects alone and will be fully supported and trained.

This role would either suit a graduate or someone with technical/engineering experience; If you have an engineering or technical qualification or interest in your spare time, this could be the role for you. You will be enthusiatic, proactive and hardworking and be able to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders. Great prospects to progress within the business further down the line!

Responsibilities

  • Construct and record tests and experiments in a pre-planned, thorough manner
  • Construct test & measurement set-ups with safety and effectiveness as prime objectives
  • Produce complete reports which communicate, effectively, precisely and concisely using Microsoft Excel & Word
  • Provide technical support and advice to other departments and external customers.
  • Provide production support for new and existing products as and when requested to do so.

Requirements

  • Technical backgroud / education in Mechanical or electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline
  • IT Literate to a good standard in word and excel
  • Experience with metrology / measurement equipment (Desirable not esssential)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, able to work under own initiative
  • Determined approach, a will to succeed
  • Team player
