Our client is a fast–growing, private equity–backed, multi–site business with ambitious acquisition plans and an exciting transformation agenda. As the business continues to scale, they are looking for a proactive Senior Management Accountant to join their high–performing finance team.
Reporting to an ambitious and forward–thinking Head of Finance, you'll work alongside another Senior Management Accountant and become a key member of a collaborative team responsible for delivering insightful reporting, improving processes and driving automation across the finance function. This is far more than a traditional management accounting role. It's an opportunity to combine strong technical accounting with advanced Excel, systems thinking and emerging AI technologies to help shape how finance supports a rapidly growing business.
What you'll be doing:
- Taking ownership of a portfolio of management accounts, delivering accurate monthly reporting, P&L analysis and commercial commentary
- Reviewing forecasts, journals and reporting packs, ensuring consistency, quality and accuracy across the finance team
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and business planning processes
- Partnering with operational leaders, providing meaningful financial insight to support decision making
- Coaching and supporting junior members of the finance team
- Driving finance transformation through process improvement, automation and smarter ways of working
- Developing Excel models, Power Query solutions and AI–enabled reporting to improve efficiency and insight
- Supporting acquisitions, finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintaining high–quality documentation and audit–ready working papers
About You:
We're looking for someone who enjoys improving processes as much as producing numbers. You'll be:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- An experienced Management Accountant or Senior Management Accountant within a fast–paced commercial environment
- Highly proficient in Excel, with experience of Power Query and data manipulation
- Comfortable using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot to automate tasks and improve reporting
- Naturally curious, analytical and solutions focused
- A confident communicator who enjoys working with both finance and operational stakeholders
- Someone who takes ownership, challenges the status quo and actively looks for opportunities to improve performance
