Great opportunity to join this dynamic, fast growing group based in Derby as a 'Payroll Officer'; working closely with the Payroll Manager to manage the payroll function for 3,500 employees. A bureau system is currently in place but the plan is to bring the payroll function inhouse so end to end experience is a requirement as well as strong Excel skills. The current system in Brightpay so this experience is desirable.
This is a fast paced and ever changing environment so a proactive and capable person is key.\\nAs Payroll Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the busy payroll function and helping transition to a more efficient, streamlined payroll and HR system. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you’ll handle payroll for over 1,000 employees ensuring everything runs smoothly, accurately, and on time.\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n * Prepare and process monthly payroll data\\n * Manage multiple payrolls with minimal supervision\\n * Collaborate with Managers to resolve queries\\n * Process starters, leavers, and payroll changes\\n * Ensure accurate handling of sick pay, maternity, unpaid leave, etc.\\n * Perform post-payroll checks and set up payment runs\\n * Assist in payroll systems improvements and reporting\\n * Maintain HR systems and payroll documentation\\nThe Requirement\\n * Knowledge of end-to-end payroll processes (BrightPay experience a plus)\\n * Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, etc.)\\n * Experience with HR systems and bank payment setups\\n * Detail-oriented mindset and strong organisational skills\\n * Great communication and team collaboration abilities\\n * Knowledge of Payroll Legislation
