This 13-month apprenticeship is for someone who’s excited by social media, video content and how digital media actually works behind the scenes. You’ll support the creation, preparation and delivery of digital media content, from long form recordings and live sessions through to short form social outputs. The role combines creative production with technical media handling, helping ensure content is produced, delivered and monitored reliably across modern platforms. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys being hands on with content, is curious about the technical side of media, and wants to learn how creative ideas turn into real, published outputs. No previous experience is required, just enthusiasm, curiosity and a willingness to learn.
What you’ll be doing
- Media handling & delivery
- Supporting the organisation, preparation and management of video and media assets
- Processing long form content (recorded events, podcasts, interviews, webinars) into formats suitable for different platforms
- Ensuring files are correctly formatted, labelled, stored and ready for delivery
- Learning how different platforms handle media and adjusting outputs accordingly
- Social & content production
- Creating and editing short form content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and LinkedIn
- Writing captions and supporting creative ideas for social content
- Helping maintain a consistent content schedule across channels
- Supporting brand tone and creative quality across all outputs
- Live and near live content support
- Assisting with the setup and delivery of live or recorded live digital content (e.g. webinars, live socials, virtual events)
- Carrying out basic technical checks and system monitoring (audio, video, captions, uploads) before content goes live
- Supporting post event processing and redistribution of content
- Monitoring & performance
- Monitoring content delivery across platforms to ensure it publishes and plays correctly
- Identifying and escalating technical issues (quality, upload failures, playback issues, platform errors)
- Supporting basic reporting on content performance and delivery outcomes
- Learning how analytics can be used to improve future media delivery and workflows
- Learning & development
- Completing apprenticeship training and assessments as part of the programme
- Building confidence in both creative production and technical media processes
- Developing an understanding of digital media workflows and service delivery
