Basecamp Talent is partnering with a rapidly scaling energy technology business to hire a Business Development Director to help launch a major new energy monitoring and compliance platform into the UK commercial market. This is a high-impact commercial role within a business that has grown from £1.8m to £6m revenue in under three years and is backed for significant future growth.
You’ll be responsible for taking an innovative cloud-based platform to market across hospitality, industrial, retail, healthcare, and commercial sectors, working directly with senior leadership to drive pipeline, revenue, and long-term client growth.
The Opportunity- Launch a new cloud-based energy monitoring and compliance platform
- Access a warm client base of 300+ existing commercial customers
- Receive inbound opportunities from internal sales and marketing teams
- Build and manage your own pipeline alongside cross-sell opportunities
- Run demos, proposals, negotiations, and full sales cycles
- Work closely with leadership on commercial strategy and market positioning
- Join a scaling business with significant growth ambition
- Proven experience within Business Development, Field Sales, or Senior Commercial roles
- Background in EMS, BMS, energy monitoring, sustainability technology, compliance technology, or related sectors
- Strong experience selling into senior stakeholders including Operations Directors, Facilities Directors, Sustainability Leads, and C-suite
- Confident running client demos and managing complex commercial conversations
- Self-starter mentality with strong pipeline management skills
- Experience using Salesforce CRM or similar systems
- Existing commercial team already earning £120k+ OTE
