The predicted salary is between 36000 - 54000 £ per year.

Salary: Negotiable for the right person/experience – up to £45k basic plus Commission Scheme (uncapped), Car Allowance, Contributory Pension + other insurances/benefits package.

We are hiring in these three areas: North UK, Midlands, South West.

At Base Materials, we are experts in high-performance syntactic materials, serving a wide range of industries, including automotive, aerospace, marine, motorsport (including 9 out of the 10 F1 Teams) and more. Our success stems from delivering tailored, high-quality solutions to meet complex and demanding requirements.

As part of our ongoing growth plan, we are seeking to broaden our Business Development and Sales Team through the appointment of additional experienced Regional Technical Sales Engineers to work in their own region within the UK. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, commercial professional to contribute to the further growth and success of the business.

In short, we need driven and enthusiastic talent to sell our products and bring in new, sustainable business by proactively identifying new opportunities through gathering market intelligence. You will be developing long-term relationships, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders. We need your proven sales skills to strengthen relationships and reinvigorate cold accounts whilst onboarding new accounts and converting them to top-tier accounts through cross-selling / up-selling.

We are looking to increase our presence and grow sales in the following sectors:

  • Thermoforming and Vac forming
  • Foundry
  • Composites
  • Aerospace/Defence
  • Automotive and Transport

It is ESSENTIAL that you have experience selling into one or more of these industries and the complexities of their differing buying processes.

Key Tasks/Accountabilities:

  • Experience of Bid Management, analysing and assessing new business opportunities with existing Accounts.
  • Proven track record of increasing Company turnover with evidence of growing accounts year on year.
  • Exceptional Relationship Building Capability and demonstrable track record (Right Contact, at the Right Level).
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to negotiate deals that will accomplish budgeted margins and correspond to the company's sales strategies.
  • Demonstrate the aptitude to understand the application of the product and the engineering process that makes the product and/or the technical capabilities available within the organisation to offer a solution sell.
  • Be hands-on and have the aptitude to technically demonstrate products and their capabilities.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of composites and/or Tooling or casting.
  • Experience of tendering & procurement processes within the supply chain.
  • Demonstrable achievement of growth in new market sectors.
