We are seeking two Production Operatives to join our team in Whetstone, Leicester. You will be carrying out the day-to-day operation of the raw materials production line for our industry-leading tooling board materials. This includes completing final finishing processes and quality inspections to ensure our end products meet the very highest standards and all quality assurances are met.
Key Tasks/Accountabilities:
- Operate automated and manual plant and machinery.
- Carry out quality assurance checks and report any imperfections.
- Ensure continuous monitoring/review of operations and product to ensure quality assurance.
- Use lift trucks to move raw materials and finished goods around the facility as necessary.
- Carry out housekeeping and basic maintenance duties.
- Report any incidents of non-conformance to Line Manager.
- Use computer systems to track stock levels and product lifecycle data.
- Adhere to Production Schedules and Standard Operating Procedures in order to produce product in line with quality specifications and on time.
- Comply with Health and Safety regulations at all times, taking responsibility for safety of self and others, reporting concerns or hazards immediately.
- Maintain records in line with audit requirements and established procedures.
The Successful Applicant:
- Basic literacy and numeracy.
- Working within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Carrying out quality inspections.
- Valid counterbalance licence.
- Experience within a composites materials manufacturing environment.
- Recent fork-lift truck driving.
- Application of 5S.
- Principles of 6-sigma and lean manufacturing.

These are full-time, permanent roles, with shifts rotating between 0600 - 1400 or 1400 - 2200 on a weekly basis. 37 hours per week Monday to Friday with weekday overtime at time and a third, Saturdays 1.5 and double time on a Sunday. Benefits include 33 days holiday, a company pension scheme, a profit share scheme, free parking, and £10 per day shift allowance.
