As a Salesforce Architect, you will lead the design and development of Salesforce solutions tailored to the unique needs of our pharmaceutical and healthcare clients. You will collaborate with internal teams and clients to architect features that drive business value, ensure scalability, and enhance customer engagement processes. You will act as the subject‑matter expert in Salesforce‑based solutions, translate business requirements into technical design and specifications, and coach less experienced team members. Leveraging your expertise, you will estimate and engineer reliable solution implementation projects alongside a Project Manager, Business Analyst, and developers. You will join a hybrid team of internal resources, client teams, and vendors/service providers and act as the reference point for technical aspects of the solution design throughout the implementation project.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and development of Salesforce solutions for pharma and healthcare clients, ensuring scalability and integration with existing systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements, translating them into technical solutions aligned with business goals.
- Provide architectural leadership and guidance for Salesforce implementation projects, including customization, integrations, and data management.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices, including regulatory and security requirements specific to healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.
- Design solutions that integrate life‑science‑specific products and services to enhance data‑driven decision‑making and patient engagement.
- Work on projects involving Event Management, HCP (Healthcare Professional) engagement processes, and other relevant pharmaceutical use cases.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and solution roadmaps.
- Mentor and guide junior developers and solution architects on the team.
- Knowledge sharing across the organization.
Must‑Have Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a Salesforce Architect (Application / System or Technical architect certification expected).
- Broad experience with Salesforce platform capabilities implementation.
- Experience integrating external systems with Salesforce using various integration patterns and technologies.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, ideally with knowledge of regulations and processes.
- Experience designing complex, scalable solutions on the Salesforce platform, including integrations with external systems and data management.
- Deep understanding of Salesforce best practices, including security, performance optimisation, and scalability.
- Consulting mindset.
- Ability to manage, steer & oversee development / implementation teams both on‑shore and offshore.
On top of this, you have the following competences
- A BSc or MSc from a leading university in business, computer science, finance, economics, information technology, or engineering with strong academic records.
- At least 5 years of hands‑on experience with Salesforce products implementation.
- Knowledge of business modelling and process documentation.
- Understanding of relational database concepts, ETL processes, data management and segmentation best practices.
- Ability to lead and facilitate workshops, technical and functional requirements gathering, and design sessions.
- Demonstrated ability to architect, build and execute data feeds, platform configuration, and components needed to run complex multi‑channel marketing automation and related reporting & analytics.
- Knowledge of API integration with CRM platforms and Web properties.
- Ability to think strategically and develop a real understanding of stakeholder needs.
- Excellent communication and interface with clients.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
It will be a plus if you have these additional capabilities
- Strong understanding of IQVIA or Veeva products and how they integrate with Salesforce to support healthcare business processes (ideally certifications).
- Previous consulting experience, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Life Science Cloud / Health Cloud experience.
- Experience with Event Management and HCP engagement processes in a healthcare or pharmaceutical setting.
- Additional Salesforce certifications such as AI, Platform Developer 2, Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, etc.
- AI Knowledge.
