Job Summary
The Studio Manager ensures the smooth day-to-day running of Base Dance Studios. They oversee staff and volunteers, maintain the facilities, support our BTEC college and act as the first point of contact for health, safety and customer service.

Base Dance Studios is one of London's leading professional dance training hubs, welcoming dancers internationally. We provide professional facilities, a diverse timetable and a supportive community for dancers of all levels. Our five fully equipped studios are hired daily for rehearsals, castings, fittings and events.
Being the proud home of Base Performing Arts, we are also a successful, growing college, hosting a BTEC course in Performing Arts as well as an 18+ Accelerated Industry Course.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the reception team and volunteer training programme.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring classes and bookings run smoothly.
- Handle banking, merchandise and uniform stock control.
- Manage maintenance, liaising with contractors for repairs.
- Act as health & safety lead (fire safety, CCTV, equipment, etc).
- Deliver excellent customer service – responding to queries, supporting weekly teachers and being the leader of Base.
- Scope to suggest and improve operational processes, working with senior management to implement positive change.
Working Pattern
- 5 shifts per week (8 hours per shift, 30-min break).
- Flexible shift patterns which can be spread across the 7 day week
- Weekend work is optional – shifts may be split across weekends if preferred, but there is no requirement to work weekends.
- This role requires the candidate to work from our Vauxhall based studio for the full 5 days per week.
Contract & Benefits
- Full-time, permanent (subject to successful 3-month probation).
- 28 days annual leave.
- Salary: £30,550.
- Notice period: 4 weeks during probation, then 8 weeks after probation.

Person Specification
Essential:
- Previous experience managing a leisure centre, studios, office or building of a similar scale.
- Strong people management and leadership skills.
- Excellent organisation and problem-solving abilities.
- Confident in resolving maintenance and operational duties.
- Collaborative, approachable and adaptable.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of health & safety compliance.
- First Aid training.
