Senior Clinical Fellow (ST3+ level) in General Surgery

Applications are invited for the post of Senior Clinical Fellow (ST3+ level) in General Surgery. The post is for 6 months. The successful applicant will work in the capacity of a registrar to one of the consultants within the General Surgery Unit and will be responsible for both inpatient elective and emergency work as well as supporting the trauma team whilst on call.
The General Surgery Unit is served by four consultants with sub-specialist interest in UGI, Vascular and Paediatric Surgery. The team work alongside six Colorectal Consultant Surgeons as well.

The post is not approved for basic or higher surgical training but will provide ample training opportunities and will suit a senior trainee committed to a Surgical career or seeking additional experience of General surgery at registrar level. Previous NHS experience is essential for this role.
There is also scope for training and working closely with the Colorectal Surgery team including clinic and theatre and on-calls.
