Overview
The post holder will provide, with consultant colleagues, a full Audiovestibular Medicine service, seeing children with predominantly audiological presentations. Enthusiastic involvement in audit and service evaluation will be essential.
Responsibilities
- Providing clinical care and supervision of paediatric audiology patients across Barts Health sites.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and attending relevant meetings.
- Supporting Clinical Audiologists and participating in teaching and training activities.
- Participating in clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge and skills in line with GMC and Royal College requirements.
Role details
We are seeking a Specialist Audiovestibular Physician to join our Barts Paediatric Audiology multi-disciplinary teams at Waltham Forest, Redbridge, City/Hackney, and Tower Hamlets & Newham.
The post will predominantly be based at Waltham Forest and Redbridge, based at Wood Street Health Centre and Loxford Polyclinic but the post holder may be expected to occasionally support working at other sites: City/Hackney & Tower Hamlets is based at Hackney Ark. Newham is based at West Ham Lane Health Centre.
Predominantly a clinical role, the post holder is expected to provide Medical Input to the wider Paediatric Audiology service at Barts and the Audiologist Led Service.
This interesting specialist role will involve working with babies, children and families in our spacious, family-friendly multi-disciplinary centres and taking on the responsibilities of this role within the dynamic working environment at Bart\’s will enable clinical and personal development.
