We are excited to announce Senior Clinical Fellow Posts in Paediatrics at The Royal London Hospital. The successful candidate will have the following Paediatric Subspecialty choices:

  • Paediatric Gastroenterology
  • General Paediatrics

The posts will be for a period of 6 months with further extension depending upon clinical performance.

Main Duties of the Job:

  • Royal London is one of the busiest paediatric units in the UK.
  • Vast amounts of paediatric research and academic activity are done here, with teams actively participating in clinical trials. Fellows will be encouraged to participate in ongoing trials as part of the post.
  • We have a robust teaching programme and will encourage all paediatric fellows to actively participate in teaching sessions and deliver teaching.
  • All undergraduates from QMUL (Queen Mary’s University London) are attached to Royal London Hospital, providing ample opportunities to mentor and teach them.
  • All fellows will be assigned a QI project/Audit to participate in, along with participation in Clinical Governance and management meetings.
  • Work patterns will involve working with the paediatric subspecialty during the daytime, with on-calls covering general and specialty paediatrics, including a combination of long days and night shifts. All shifts are EWTD and New Deal contract compliant.

Full GMC registration is absolutely essential. Paediatric experience in the UK is desirable along with MRCPCH. Candidates without paediatric experience at the Middle grade or registrar level will not be considered.   • Overseas candidates should have completed the equivalent of MRCPCH and have had robust experience in paediatrics as a Registrar
