Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated clinical research fellow to support the delivery of NIHR portfolio trials in Renal medicine. The position is available from the beginning of August as a fixed term 1 year post, with expectation of working 5 days a week during normal work hours. Training prior to starting can be discussed.
Responsibilities
- Train on ongoing studies, backgrounds, aims, methodology and delivery metrics and targets
- Provide support to the research team in gaining informed consent for patients including remote consenting and checking trial eligibility
- Communicate with participants, addressing questions/concerns
- Provide medical oversight on adverse event reporting and adjudication, with appropriate follow-up
- Provide medical assessment of participants during visits including the symptomatic pathway
- Provide medical care in the unlikely event of acute reaction to the vaccine or its constituents
Qualifications
- Experience of working as a doctor in the NHS and MRCP qualification
- Eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 and GMC registration; may require entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme
- Nephrology trainees seeking experience in Renal Research clinical trials
- Experience in clinical trial research or willingness to gain experience in clinical trial delivery
