Job overview
We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Assistant Technical Officer to join the Biosimilar Switch team at the Royal London Hospital. The post holder will be supporting RLH and MEH in delivering biosimilar switches and medicines efficiencies within the specialist medicine division. The role may adapt depending on the requirements of the hospital agenda.
The post holder will be working closely with the Biosimilar Switch Team and Homecare Team to help process and deliver various biosimilar cost saving projects and medicines efficiencies across the RLH and MEH sites.
As part of this role, you will be working as part of the Biosimilar switch team to help support the Homecare team with the ordering, delivery note checking, processing of invoices and finance queries. You will be working collaboratively to support the administrative and technical aspects of the biosimilar switches. The role may also involve ward, top-up and dispensary-based responsibilities and may adapt depending on the hospital needs.
Main duties of the job
To support Royal London Pharmacy department and divisions in delivering biosimilar switches and medicines efficiencies.
To work within the Biosimilar team under the direction from the pharmacist and pharmacy technician.
To support the Pharmacy Homecare Team by raising orders on the pharmacy system, checking delivery notes, processing invoices and dealing with queries related to the biosimilar switch work.
To report and liaise with the Lead Biosimilar Switch Pharmacist on the progress of biosimilar switch activity.
The role will involve ward, top-up and dispensary-based responsibilities.
