Overview
The post is suitable for a new graduate Dietitian, or a Dietitian currently working at band 5 level seeking paediatric experience. The role is in general paediatrics and based at the Royal London Hospital, with one day per week at Newham University Hospital. You will be trained in paediatric dietetics and will see inpatients and outpatients, with opportunities to develop experience in other paediatric specialities. You will join a large multidisciplinary team and will be supported to achieve learning and development needs, including Band 5 competencies. There is a strong emphasis on quality improvement, research, and CPD.
You will work within a dynamic paediatric dietetics service, collaborating with a large team of 31 Paediatric Dietitians across 3 acute sites and into the community, and as part of a broader team of Children\'s Therapists.
Main duties of the job
- Work with the paediatric dietetic team to provide an effective dietetic service to paediatric in-patients and outpatients at The Royal London Hospital and Newham University Hospital.
- Ensure that research and audit are undertaken regularly to ensure practice is evidence-based.
