We are looking for a locum consultant orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in upper limb and hand surgery for a 12 month post. This is a cross-site post working across the three Barts Health sites that deliver orthopaedics with clinic at Barts Health Orthopaedic Centre (BHOC) in Newham, elective operating at BHOC and Royal London Hospital (RLH) in Whitechapel and trauma operating at RLH and Whipps Cross University Hospital (WXH). Flexibility with cross-site working is expected. You will be joining a department of 55 consultant orthopaedic surgeons. You must hold full registration with the General Medical Council and preferably be on the Specialist Registrar or within 3 months of obtaining CCT.

Experience- Completed training in Trauma and Orthopaedics
- Full GMC registration
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via:
- CCT or CESR (CP) – proposed CCT/CESR (CP) date must be within 6 months of interview

- Teaching undergraduates and postgraduates
- Higher Specialist Training in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery
- Evidence of Logbook to support expected surgical activity
- Experience at consultant level working in a major trauma centre
- Evidence of participation in research (peer reviewed publications etc.)
- Evidence of innovative approaches to healthcare; higher degree or masters equivalent in Education, Leadership or Management
