Ensures the process of nursing is developed to meet the individual needs of each patient, providing well documented assessment, care planning and evaluation. 2. Responsible for setting, providing, and maintaining high standards of clinically effective nursing care at all times. 3. Always provide leadership and management to the staff team ensuring effective use of human resources on the ward to ensure safe and efficient service delivery 4. Ensure that a child and family-centered approach to care is provided in inpatient areas, which takes account of children’s individual medical, psychological, emotional, and social needs. Person specification Qualifications and Knowledge RSCN / RN Child with current registration Preparation for mentorship course or equivalent Evidence of continued professional development Knowledge of current and emerging NHS strategy and policy Knowledge and experience in Safeguarding Children Educated to degree level or working towards it Experience Minimum of 2 years experience at band 6 level within an acute paediatric setting Orthopaedic surgical experience Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Effective interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills with people on complex matters/issues Ability to deal with difficult situations Excellent organisational skills Displays professional integrity and credibility Adaptable and able to deal with changing workloads Personal and People Development Positive attitude and ability to work under pressure Take responsibility for own learning Responsible for own Individual performance Review Please note that if you are NOT a passport holder of the country for the vacancy you might need a work permit.
