Overview

Newham University Hospital is looking to recruit a Senior Healthcare Support Worker (HCA) Band 3 who will work Plashet Ward at Newham University Hospital. This post is open to individuals who are both experienced Healthcare Support Workers or those new to care. Individuals that are new to care will receive support to complete the Band 3 competencies and progress into a Band 3 role within six months upon successful completion of all required competencies.

We are looking for compassionate and motivated individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care in a hospital setting.

Note: Due to government threshold guidelines the Trust is unable to provide sponsorship for this role.

Responsibilities

  • The post holder will be an integral part of the nursing team actively taking part in meeting the needs of patients and of the service in accordance with agreed standards under direct supervision of the registered nurse.
  • The post holder will continue to develop essential competencies through training and practice to ensure safety and quality are the priority.
  • This post attracts individuals who are new to care. You will receive support to complete the Band 3 competencies and progress into a Band 3 role within six months upon successful completion of all required competencies; until then, you will be placed at a Band 2 salary.
