OverviewThe ACCESS Fellowship is an opportunity that integrates 0.85 clinical operational delivery and 0.15 personal and professional development, ensuring a balanced and enriching experience for candidates seeking to advance their career in transfer medicine. The post is for 6 to 12 months. The average working hours over a 12-week rota will not exceed 48 per week.The ACCESS Fellowship emphasizes flexibility and adaptability. As a fellow, you will collaborate with your designated clinical supervisor to shape a tailored development plan. This will encompass a diverse array of initiatives, including project assignments, pioneering research endeavours, and postgraduate education ventures. The ultimate trajectory rests in your hands, with the discretion to align your development with ACCESS objectives.ACCESS is the London regional adult critical care transfer service committed to ensuring the secure, reliable, compassionate, and proficient transfer of critically ill patients throughout the capital. Our operations are carried out in collaboration with the London Ambulance Service NHS Trust (LAS), the London integrated commissioning boards and associated critical care networks to provide a transfer service for critically ill patients throughout London 24 hours a day 7 days a week.Responsibilities and StructureWork within transfer teams currently operating in the four geographical sectors of London, under the oversight of Bart\’s Health as the host trust. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work in any of the four sectors based on individual requirements, objectives, and preferences.Join the ACCESS Team, consisting of one transfer doctor, one transfer practitioner, and two LAS crew, led by two Duty Consultants who provide daily support and expertise.Engage with a 12-week rota (48-hour week) as the basis for workload and scheduling.About Barts Health and ValuesBarts Health is one of the largest NHS trusts in the country and a leading healthcare provider.
