An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the friendly Critical Care Outreach team at Whipps Cross Hospital. You will be responsible for providing the highest standard of expertise as a first responder for acutely ill and deteriorating ward based patients. On a daily basis you will be required to provide advice and guidance for nursing practice within the hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert first responder care for acutely ill and deteriorating ward based patients.
  • Offer advice and guidance for nursing practice within the hospital.
  • Support the development of skills within all clinical areas through informal and formal teaching to ensure high standards and safe care in all clinical areas.
  • Work closely with a large multi‑disciplinary team in Critical Care Services.
  • Lead by example as an expert practitioner and role model.

Qualifications

  • Registered general nurse.
  • Degree in nursing and a post‑registration qualification in critical care.
  • Advanced assessment skills.
  • Ability to communicate in complex situations.
  • Desire to support the development of skills within all clinical areas.
