Main duties of the job:
As a senior ODP/Anaesthetic Practitioner you will be expected to assist Anaesthetists in safe care, not only in a theatre setting but outlying areas, such as Imaging suites and Emergency Services department. You should be proactive, flexible and have a keen eye for detail to maintain our excellent care standards. We will provide comprehensive training in various capacities including Trauma, Neonates and advanced airway techniques to enhance your skills to meet our challenging work place.

Job responsibilities:
The post holder will be responsible for the effective and efficient operational supervision of the department; including budgetary awareness, clinical governance, staff development and training. The post holder will be expected to provide professional leadership within the clinical area and provide direction and inspirational leadership to all members of the multidisciplinary team within the area for which they are accountable for. The post holder will be involved in the development of protocols/guidelines and patient information.
Qualifications & Knowledge:
- BSc/1st degree (health related) or equivalent qualification/training and experience
- Intermediate Life Support Provider
- RN1/ RN2 or RN12 Registered Nurse on the NMC register/Operating Department Practitioner on the HCPC register. To hold the appropriate level for the area of speciality.
- An Aagbi recognised degree qualification in anaesthetic training
Experience:
- Experience of supervising an area; including management of rotas, resources and supervision of staff.
- Experience of clinical supervision
