Overview
The successful candidate will lead the HAC and HF pathways within Barts Heart and Thorax Centre Psychological Services, with a particular focus on overseeing the provision and evaluation of specialist workshops for patients. The post holder will work in an embedded and proactive way to coordinate the delivery of psychological services to the HAC and HF teams and will provide line management and clinical supervision to both qualified and unqualified members of the team.
Job overview: A permanent 0.5 wte Practitioner Psychologist to join Barts Heart and Thorax Centre Psychological Services based at St Bartholomew\'s Hospital as the Lead Psychologist for the Heart Attack Centre (HAC) and Heart Failure (HF) Team. You will join a friendly and supportive group of psychological professionals, access funded CPD, and receive specialist group supervision (e.g., ACT, CFT, Narrative therapy and EMDR) alongside individual supervision provided by a consultant psychologist who is also the service lead. The service operates in a mixed model with embedded psychologists within medical teams and a centralised referral allocation system, offering opportunities for leadership, service development, and research.
