If you are an outstanding Classical Civilisation teacher, or determined to become one, we would very much like to hear from you. In addition to your main subject, there will be the opportunity to teach A Level History or Politics as A level Classical Civilisation is a growing subject in the College.
Not only are we looking for an individual who is a team-player with a willingness to contribute to new initiatives, but also someone with the self-sufficiency, expertise and organisation to assist with the development of the Classical Civilisation A Level. You will join a supportive, strongly committed and excellent team who are focused on sharing good practice and resources.
You will work within the popular Humanities department and join a team of 11 staff working in a new, well-resourced building. Within the department, alongside Classical Civilisation, we offer A Levels in History, Politics, Religious Studies and Philosophy.
The College OFSTED has judged Barton Peveril to be Outstanding across all four key judgements: quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management. You will be joining a college that achieves excellent student outcomes and is focused on continually exploring and reviewing the most effective teaching and learning strategies.
