Barton Court Academy Trust (BCAT) is a multi-academy Trust established in 2017. It currently consists of three secondary schools: Barton Court Grammar School, The Charles Dickens School, and Barton Manor Free School.
Barton Manor School is a non-selective 11-18 school located in Canterbury, a five minute walk from Barton Court Grammar School. The School is in its fourth year of opening, with students in Y7, Y8, Y9 and Y10 only. We have a vision and a determination to provide our community with an excellent school.

We’re looking for brilliant people to join us on our exciting journey with opportunities for staff to work and teach at both Barton Court and Barton Manor.
The Post:
- Required for a September Start, the Trustees are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, experienced Physics Teacher to lead the department.
- The ability to teach Physics to KS4 is essential. The ability to teach Physics at KS5 is desirable.
- The successful candidate will be joining a team of highly experienced Science teachers at Barton Manor.
- The successful candidate should be able to deliver excellence in the classroom, providing innovative and inspirational teaching and learning.
- This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced candidate to work with colleagues to build a vibrant and outstanding department as the school grows, offering GCSE Science and Triple Science at KS4.
