  • Fantastic team bonuses: Earn an additional £2500+ per year on top of your salary! Our team works hard to achieve our business goals, therefore, we believe in rewarding team excellence. • Enhance your skills: We invest in you! We have high standards for our clients, so we will ensure that you have comprehensive in-house training to elevate your skills in both photography and client interactions.

What we’re all about:

We’ve been capturing timeless moments and creating memories for families for years, for the past 20 years in fact! Our team of 12, which now includes 4 full-time photographers, is like a creative family, and we want you to join us on our journey.

We’re a family run, fully independent studio, we love that and its a huge part of our success story.

The Role

A large percentage of our shoots are newborn-focused, therefore its imperative that you have the love and desire to make these shoots truly special. Outside of this, you would also be fully trained in photographing older children, generations, couples, and of course, pets!

A significant aspect of this role involves Design Consultations, where clients return to view their images. In these sessions, we’re looking for someone who is confident, personable, and has a keen eye for design. While this involves helping clients choose the perfect products to display their images, it’s not about being “salesy.” Instead, it’s about guiding families with care and creativity to select the artwork that resonates most with their memories and fits beautifully into their homes.

At Bartley Portrait Studios, we steer clear of capturing the ‘ordinary’ family photo production line. Our mission is to craft something truly unique and personal for each client, providing a photographic experience unlike anything they’ve witnessed before. As a vital member of our team, your role involves photographing families with children of all ages, including newborns and dogs. Your focus is to deliver an exceptional and enjoyable experience, creating fantastic photographs that will be cherished and proudly displayed on their walls for years to come. From the initial welcome to the final design and print, you will ensure that we not only meet but exceed all expectations.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience of working with newborns and young children
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with outstanding verbal communication.
  • Vibrant personality, displaying strength, confidence, and natural enthusiasm.
  • Well presented along with exceptional personability, particularly adept with individuals of all ages, especially children.
  • Inherent passion for delivering top-notch service to customers consistently.
  • Embraces values of honesty, integrity, empathy, and patience.
  • Diligent, hardworking, and conscientious in all tasks undertaken.
  • Exhibits strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Resides locally (ideally within a 40-minute drive).

How to apply (and stand out)

Full-time, salaried photography jobs don’t come along every day… and when they do, our inbox fills up fast. So, if you want to grab our attention, this is your moment to shine.

A quick Instagram link and a list of your gear won’t cut it. Neither will a wall of qualifications without a single portrait to show your style. We’re looking for work that makes us stop scrolling and think, wow, they get it.

If this feels like your dream role – and you can see yourself building a long-term career with us – make your application count.

Here’s what we need

  • A covering letter and CV showing how you meet our essential criteria
  • Low-resolution portfolio images (max 10MB) or a link to a professional online portfolio

We can only consider complete applications, and unfortunately, we can’t respond to those that aren’t successful.

Now’s your chance – show us what you’ve got
