We are seeking a talented and passionate pastry chef to join our team at one of our flagship locations in London Bridge. As our Pastry Chef, you will take full responsibility for delivering exceptional pastry offerings across multiple areas of the business. This includes:
- Fine dining desserts
- High-end finger food and canapés
- Retail coffee bar cakes and sweet treats
- Seasonal menu development and innovation
You will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of quality, presentation, and creativity, ensuring our pastry selection consistently exceeds guest expectations. We are a multi award-winning contract catering company, with a team of trained foodies serving over 45,500 satisfied customers every day. We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team.
Your duties will include:
- Prepare a selection of cakes, pastries, breads etc. using both traditional and in-house recipes.
- Creatively decorate and present all finished work to a high specification.
- Store, clean and maintain all equipment used in the production of required pastry work.
- Monitoring stock levels and ordering new stock when required.
- Adhere to all food, allergen, health & safety standards.
- To achieve & maintain efficient and high standards of food production.
- Engage in customer contact to measure success.
- Contribute to a positive attitude towards learning opportunities within the company.
- To be an effective communicator with the rest of the kitchen team.
- Inspire team to want to exceed the norm.
With two years experience working in a similar operation and educated to C & G 706 1 & 2, NVQ or equivalent, as well as H&S and FS level 2 certificates, you’ll have excellent organisational and time management skills. Your creativity, passion for the art of food design and friendly attitude will make you an ideal fit for this prestigious site.
