Role Overview
Bartlett Employee Benefits is expanding rapidly and seeks an Associate Consultant to join our team. We value client focus, integrity and continuous improvement, and welcome candidates with prior Employee Benefits experience or from other professional services backgrounds such as accounting, law or recruitment who are ready to build a rewarding career in this specialist field. The role demands strong communication, numerical and analytical skills, confidence working with data and the ability to interpret, problem‑solve and attend to detail while delivering exceptional client support.
Duties
- Work with and support the consulting team in dealing with client and product provider queries
- Build strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and create tailored Employee Benefits solutions
- Undertake Employee Benefits reviews and write reports to be presented to clients
- Attend client meetings in person and virtually
- Manage Employee Benefit policy renewals, coordinating with providers and clients in a timely and organised manner
- Develop relationships with product providers to understand their propositions
- Keep informed of industry developments and changes in legislation that impact our clients
- Manage claims and medical underwriting
- Support and administer Employee Benefits policies through our market leading online benefits platform
- Review and analyse employee, company and benefit data
Ideal Candidate
- Experience in an Employee Benefits or Professional Services role with client or professional engagement
- Keen to continually learn, develop knowledge and skill‑set, and curious to challenge where appropriate
- Empathy for people, understanding their point of view and a drive to help at all times
- Experience of team environments and an understanding of the importance of collaboration
- Proactive in thinking and improving work tasks, supporting a busy team in efficient delivery
- Efficiently manage own workload, ensuring client and internal deliverables are met, and support others in meeting deadlines
- Prioritise tasks from multiple sources and manage expectations on deliverables
- Proficient in Word and Excel with strong organisational/administrative skills
- Strong communicator with proficient written, spoken English and grammar
- Develop, nurture and maintain positive working relationships both internally and externally
