What you will be doing
- Sampling incoming lorry loads of grain and carrying out quality checks before they are accepted into the site.
- Monitoring the intake process and liaising with drivers to keep operations running smoothly.
- Recording quality results and maintaining accurate data for internal quality control
- Flagging and escalating any issues where loads do not meet required standards.
- Supporting the team with ship loading operations
, including learning to operate the loading spout (working at height involved).
- Learning to use the control system that manages grain movement within the silos.
- Gaining an understanding of grain storage conditions and how we maintain quality standards.
- Getting involved in a wide range of practical, hands‑on tasks to help keep the site running efficiently.
