HGV Relief Driver (variable hours)

We are looking to boost our Relief Driving Team with the appointment of experienced Cover Drivers to join us on a variable hours basis and help at busy periods and to cover our permanent team. We are working to deliver inputs and collect combinable crops to and from farms across the UK.

The Relief driving role is for experienced Class 1 Drivers, as delivering to farms is a skilled operation. Working daytime hours, which could be extended to include nights-out if preferred. The role will cover our permanent driving team when they are on holiday, away for other reasons, and for extra help during seasonal peaks especially at Harvest time, which is August and September.

Work will include bulk tipper and curtain-side, delivering agricultural crops, aggregate and pallet work and we collect combined crops from farm when they are ready for export. UK based, work will include bulk tipping and curtain side work collecting and delivering agricultural, aggregate and general freight. Nights-out work is available for premium pay up to 3 to 4 nights-out per week if desired.

Monday to Friday working week with some weekends during the Summer Harvest period (end of July to September). We keep our Relief Driving team busy 9 to 10 months of the year. Our driving team work across the Southern Counties of the UK helping our agricultural business Bartholomews Agri Food Ltd to service our farmer customers, ensuring that goods are delivered in first class condition, bulk loads are collected efficiently from farms or aggregates from third party customers. Our south coast depots include Chichester, Shoreham, Petersfield, Eastleigh, Blandford and Maidenhead.

Highly Competitive Remuneration And Benefits Package

£16.65 per hour. Night-out allowance of £25 per night.
