The predicted salary is between 12.89 - 12.89 £ per hour.
Catering Assistant LGPS Grade 3, Pt 3 – £24,796 (£12.89 per hour) pro rata. Actual: £5,753 pa. Contracted 10 hours per week, term time only plus 1 week cleaning duties. Hours: 9:00am-2:30pm Tuesdays and Fridays, 8:00am-1:30pm during examination season.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver a quality catering service in line with health, safety and hygiene requirements.
- Prepare food for sale.
- Work on a team rotation in four zones.
- Comply with food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures.
Required skills:
- Ability to organise time and prioritise activities.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Flexibility and ability to work as part of a team or individually.
- Good communication skills and confidence to interact with all members of the school community.
Desirable knowledge & experience:
- Previous experience in a food handling environment with basic food safety knowledge.
- Working knowledge of health & safety procedures including COSHH.
- Level 2 food safety certificate (can be obtained as part of in‑house training).
- Previous catering experience and safe use of knives and kitchen equipment.
