Job Description

Responsibilities

  1. Utilize pre-call planning and questioning strategies to understand customer needs and act as a ‘Trusted Advisor’ by making recommendations to advance opportunities, leveraging post-call reviews to improve outcomes.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure profitable and sustainable growth while providing exceptional customer experiences.
  3. Use CRM proficiently to maintain accurate forecasts, plan activities, and develop clear action plans to achieve results.
  4. Analyze transactions and trends (won/lost reasons, close rates, pipeline health) to develop and propose action plans, with a strong focus on understanding your numbers.
  5. Effectively articulate and present key opportunity elements to secure support and buy-in, with a solid grasp of financial and margin details for fact-based discussions.
  6. Represent the organization at trade shows, conferences, and seminars, and assist with marketing efforts as needed.
  7. Maintain and enhance professional and technical knowledge through reviews of publications, networking, and participation in organizations.
  8. Travel extensively (50%+) regionally for customer meetings, trade shows, training, and networking.
  9. Exhibit strong communication skills, professionalism, and integrity, representing Barry-Wehmiller’s values.
  10. Collaborate, inspire, and motivate internally and externally as ‘The Professional in the room’.
  11. Communicate complex information concisely and positively.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Proven sales success (achievements, rankings, stats).
  2. Proficiency in CRM systems, leveraging data for opportunity identification and decision-making.
  3. Professional demeanor aligned with Barry Wehmiller’s values; experience in capital equipment or packaging sales preferred.
  4. Engineering background is advantageous.
