The Warehouse Controller plays a key role in ensuring smooth, efficient, and compliant warehouse operations. Reporting to the Logistics Lead, this role manages the day‑to‑day relationship with third‑party logistics partners, oversees inventory accuracy, and supports cross‑functional teams with timely data and insights. Contract Type: Fixed‑Term Contract of 12 months as maternity leave cover.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the onsite relationship with Great Bear and act as the primary point of contact for internal teams and external partners.
- Lead RCA investigations and ensure strong stakeholder management across Global Business Services.
- Review GB50 inbound and outbound forecasts and monitor outbound deliveries and transport partners.
- Maintain accurate inventory, order, and shipment data in WMS/SAP and support the 3PL Inventory Controller.
- Generate and distribute operational reports and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Oversee inventory turnover, minimise excess/obsolete stock, and reinforce SAP processes (dispatch, picking, transport master data).
- Coordinate Manage Orders (MO) spreadsheet and solid sheet with Customer Service & Ralph Davies International and manage export documentation for solid export.
About You
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role or broader Supply Chain functions; FMCG industry experience is a plus.
- Good working knowledge of WMS and SAP, plus experience collaborating with 3PL partners.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and familiarity with OMP or other production‑planning tools.
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations, compliance, and inventory control with strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder‑management abilities across diverse cultures.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Flexibility to work at least 3 days per week on‑site, with travel to UK & Western Europe as required.
