We are looking for a reliable and motivated Production Line Operator to join our manufacturing team.
In this role, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring production equipment to ensure the efficient manufacture of high-quality chocolate products while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and hygiene.
Working as part of a busy production environment, you will play a key role in ensuring products are produced safely, efficiently, and to customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production equipment safely and efficiently to meet production targets and quality standards.
- Monitor production processes and carry out routine quality checks to ensure products meet specification.
- Identify and report equipment, product quality, or process issues, making adjustments where appropriate.
- Support production line changeovers and equipment set-up activities.
- Maintain excellent standards of hygiene, housekeeping, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Assist with cross-training activities and provide support across different production lines when required.
- Follow all food safety, health and safety, and company procedures at all times.
What We're Looking For
- GCSE Maths (or equivalent) or good numerical skills.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and confidence working with machinery and equipment.
- Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work accurately and safely in a fast-paced production environment.
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work a continuous shift pattern.
- Food Hygiene Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
- Previous experience within food manufacturing or a production environment.
- Fork Lift Truck (FLT) licence.
- Experience operating automated production equipment.
