About the Role
We have an opportunity for a Hygiene Operator to join our Operations team.
This role is responsible for providing hygiene support across the factory and production equipment, ensuring all cleaning activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company procedures and food safety standards.
The successful candidate will work across all hygiene areas, complete cleaning schedules, maintain accurate records, and support training activities where required.
This role plays a key part in maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out cleaning of the factory environment and production equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Follow hygiene schedules and accurately complete all required documentation.
- Understand and comply with company colour coding procedures for food contact equipment and floor cleaning.
- Wear all required PPE in line with food safety and health & safety requirements.
- Work across all hygiene areas as required.
- Support the training of colleagues and agency staff when requested.
- Work collaboratively with the Hygiene team and other departments.
- Report defects, equipment faults, hazards, near misses and accidents promptly.
- Demonstrate an understanding of basic pest control procedures following training.
- Comply with Health & Safety, Food Safety, GMP and HACCP requirements.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by management.
- Uphold the company's values at all times.

Essential
- Good communication skills with the ability to read, write and speak English clearly.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills (successful completion of entry assessments required).
- Reliable with excellent timekeeping and attendance.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Able to work effectively within a team.
- Awareness of allergen risks.
Desirable
- Previous experience in a hygiene, cleaning or food manufacturing role.
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and Food Safety.
- Experience using pressure washers, scrubber dryers or other hygiene equipment.
