The PM Technician will be responsible for the maintenance of equipment through calibration, greasing, oiling, troubleshooting and machine rebuilds. Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks according to appropriate schedules and documentation.
- Perform calibrations according to appropriate schedules and documentation.
- Document maintenance activity using the maintenance CMMS and database.
- Communicate maintenance issues to team members.
- Use the maintenance inventory system and procedures.
- Complete maintenance requests and technical projects.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and appropriate technical college discipline.
- Five (5) years of relevant experience.
- One (1) year of Maintenance Technician experience preferred.
- Specialized training in lubrication, mechanical and/or electrical skills preferred.
- Additional technical training in lubrication, mechanical, and electrical skills.
- Proven problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills, ability to communicate orally and in writing.
- Excellent attendance and safety record.
- Experience with HACCP, GMP, OSHA regulations.
Physical & Work Conditions
- Must be able to work overtime and during holiday shut‑downs when necessary.
- Able to work at high heights, e.g., on roofs, aerial lifts, elevated platforms, up to 50 feet while wearing fall protection and proper PPE.
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs frequently with mechanical assistance and 50 lbs regularly; can lift 100 lbs occasionally.
- Frequent kneeling, squatting, bending, stooping, twisting, stretching, and reaching overhead while standing for long periods.
- Push/pull up to 1,500 lbs using assisted equipment (pallet jack) up to 2,000 lbs.
- Ability to walk up and down stairs frequently.
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures; noise level can exceed .85 decibels.
