Responsibilities
- Operate molding equipment on the production machine to safely manufacture the required quantity and quality standards of finished product to meet customer specifications.
- Observe all safety, sanitation, GMP, and HACCP requirements.
- Perform Operator 1 duties, including equipment set‑up and basic troubleshooting.
- Conduct additional quality checks on the machine regarding product appearance and shape.
- Enter performance confirmations and shift information into SAP.
- Communicate KPI metrics at shift change (rate, re‑melts generation, down‑time).
- Perform preventative maintenance, small repairs, and machine improvements.
- Perform housekeeping duties.
- Cross‑train into other Operator Level2 positions within the department (or secondary department) as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Mechanical ability/aptitude (plus).
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Minimum two (2) years manufacturing experience.
- Class3 forklift and handcart certification (preferred, required).
- Ability to stand on concrete floor for long periods, bend, squat, stretch, reach, and climb stairs.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs, often.
- Comfortable working at heights and in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures.
- Noise levels can exceed .85 decibels.
