Barrus has created one of the world’s largest and most modern custom-engine building facilities, allowing the Company to build products in single units to large volume production runs. Comprehensive test facilities enable delivery of fully tested, run-in and first serviced engines. Barrus can also offer customers an engine overhaul facility, extending the life of significant capital assets.
We are currently recruiting for a Workshop Mechanic to work within our dedicated production facility.
Main Responsibilities
- Producing, servicing, and rebuilding engines to correct build standards.
- Engine dynamometer testing and recording.
- Producing test data.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have obtained a recognised apprenticeship or other relevant qualification in an internal combustion engine maintenance, engineering or marine engineering based subject. You will have in-depth practical working knowledge of 4 stroke engines (petrol & diesel) and have at least 4 years practical experience in a busy workshop/production environment. Strong team working and good communication skills are essential.
