Barrus has created one of the worldโ€™s largest and most modern custom-engine building facilities, allowing the Company to build products in single units to large volume production runs. Comprehensive test facilities enable delivery of fully tested, run-in and first serviced engines. Barrus can also offer customers an engine overhaul facility, extending the life of significant capital assets.

We are currently recruiting for a Workshop Mechanic to work within our dedicated production facility.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Producing, servicing, and rebuilding engines to correct build standards.
  2. Engine dynamometer testing and recording.
  3. Producing test data.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have obtained a recognised apprenticeship or other relevant qualification in an internal combustion engine maintenance, engineering or marine engineering based subject. You will have in-depth practical working knowledge of 4 stroke engines (petrol & diesel) and have at least 4 years practical experience in a busy workshop/production environment. Strong team working and good communication skills are essential.
