We’re looking for a driven and talented Software & Electronics Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop as one of the subject matter experts for our hybrid and electric propulsion systems.
- Drive product development across both software and hardware domains.
- Deliver engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives for the hybrid systems.
- Provide technical support to customers and the sales team, including fault diagnosis and resolution.
- Own the software control and management process for hybrid products.
- Support production and manufacturing processes to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Assist in developing and delivering training programmes for internal and external stakeholders.
- Travel occasionally for customer commissioning and on-site technical support (UK and overseas).
Professional Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Degree in Electronics and Software Engineering (or equivalent).
- 3+ years in engineering or manufacturing (5+ years preferred).
- Proven experience in developing complex systems with both hardware and software components.
- Strong background in embedded software design and C++ programming.
- Familiarity with CAN bus systems and standards (e.g., NMEA 2000).
- Experience with low voltage systems (high voltage a plus).
- Customer-facing support and field service experience.
- Exposure to lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Team leadership or mentoring experience is a bonus.
- Marine or hybrid propulsion experience is advantageous.
Key Skills:
- Expertise in C++ programming.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and deadline-driven.
- Knowledge of ISO9001, Health and Safety at Work Act, and Kaizen/Lean/Six Sigma practices.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
