We are currently recruiting for a Product Manager within our successful Garden Tools and Products division.
As Product Manager, you will drive product and category innovation within the Town & Country brand, across both existing and emerging customer channels.
Key Accountabilities:
- Define and execute the product strategy across our gloves, footwear, outdoor storage and giftware lines.
- Market research and insights, uncovering trends, identifying gaps and capitalising on opportunities.
- Overseeing the full product lifecycle for all categories; including ideation, prototyping, testing, sourcing and production.
- Sustainability integration.
- Develop and execute effective go-to-market strategies in partnership with the marketing and sales teams.
- Product performance and analytics.
- Seasonal and trend forecasting.
- Supplier and customer visits.
Professional Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Category Management.
- Previous buying / product management experience including working with a Far Eastern supplier base.
- Proven experience of strong category management skills.
- Experience in managing pricing and forecasting.
- Experience in product life cycle management.
- Experience in supply chain and purchasing.
Key Skills Sought:
- Financial and accounting knowledge for calculating margins, gross profit and discounts.
- Knowledge of manufacturing techniques.
- An understanding of supply chain management and logistics.
- Creativity is key, especially when working across sectors and customer channels.
- Competitive attitude; must be aware of trends in marketplace.
- Good/strong negotiating skills with ability to influence and to ensure that expectations are clear with suppliers.
- Proficient in MS Office / spreadsheets and stock management software.
