Reporting to the Commercial Sales Manager, you will take hands-on leadership of a national team of Area Sales Managers and Sales Agents, driving performance across the UK independent garden centre sector. This is a role for a sales leader energised by being close to the customer and the team, turning strategy into results through coaching, discipline and a relentless focus on growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver sales, margin and profitability targets across the UK independent garden centre sector.
- Lead, coach and develop a national team of Area Sales Managers and Sales Agents through joint customer visits and structured performance management.
- Drive new customer acquisition, ranging, upselling and cross-selling across independent garden centres, specialist retailers, hardware stores and buying groups.
- Own territory planning, CRM discipline, forecasting and sales reporting.
- Build senior relationships with key customers and represent Barrus at trade events.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Customer Services, Supply Chain and Operations.
