This is an exceptional opportunity for a new Graduate Assistant & Resident Tutor – Music to join a flourishing boarding and day school, set on an attractive 100-acre campus in a beautiful part of rural Surrey. We are offering a music placement for a graduate with a music-related degree or equivalent, who may want to gain experience of working in a school environment prior to training as a teacher. We are also happy to consider those applicants who are due to graduate in the near future.

Ideally, the candidate will have experience of contemporary music with a good understanding of sound production. In addition to the coaching opportunities, there is an administrative role associated with the position. Due to the nature of resident tutor roles, accommodation will be provided and a competitive salary (dependent on age) in return for variable hours and days worked to support sports events and functions within the school calendar.

We also offer free car parking, free use of our gym, swimming pool and sports facilities, all meals and snacks on duty, and a Cycle to Work Scheme. Paid additional residential duties may also be available for the right candidate.

King Edward’s School is a co-educational boarding and day 11-18 school for some 480 pupils, around 25% of whom are full boarders. We are an HMC school and proud of our unique heritage and place among British co-educational independent schools.
