With long-term market foundations in place, a suitably experienced and highly capable Group Procurement Director is now required to take responsibility for end-to-end procurement across the manufacturing brands within the group. At the intersection of supply chain, production and commercial performance, the Group Procurement Director will play a pivotal role in delivering high quality products within a complex, multi-site manufacturing operation. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of providing strategic direction as well as operational oversight of all procurement activity and supplier management in their career to date. Driving supplier performance and delivering cost-efficiencies, you will work closely with stakeholders across all core business functions to achieve procurement and business KPIs and objectives.
Key Deliverables:
- Strategic procurement β deliver against group-wide procurement strategic goals, aligned to production volumes, product development roadmaps and financial goals across brands
- Deliver against category management goals for all direct and indirect spend, identifying and realising efficiency and consolidation opportunities
- Build and maintain appropriate, partnership-led supplier relationships to meet the current and future NPD needs of a complex, high volume manufacturing business
- Work closely with production, planning and purchasing to ensure that procurement plays an effective role in ensuring material availability aligned with production requirements across all sites
- Deliver against financial targets, including cost savings and provide cost analysis for pricing and for budgeting and business planning purposes
- Building and leading your team, actively drive a CI culture in procurement processes and practices
Candidate profile:
- A proven Procurement leader with demonstrable experience of delivery in relevant manufacturing settings
- Understands the needs of managing complex, production-led multi-site supply chain management
- Proven track record of delivering value via supplier selection and relationship management
- Strategic β can demonstrate experience in senior leadership roles as part of the SLT / board
- Has built and led collaborative teams to deliver procurement objectives in multi-site businesses
- CIPS, Lean experience a plus, as would be experience in relevant manufacturing sectors
