Job Description

As we expand our operations, we are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking skilled qualified Electrician to join our team playing a key role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who is passionate about renewable energy and eager to play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install solar PV systems, including panels, inverters, battery storage, EV chargers and associated equipment, ensuring compliance with technical design specifications, local regulations and industry standards.
  • Ensure all installations comply with UK electrical standards IET Wiring Regulations and health and safety (H&S) standards.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge or industry technologies, best practices, and legislation.
  • Monitoring and maintaining excellent health & safety (H&S) standards on site at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding project timelines, system performance and maintenance needs.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients, ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed reports and documentation for installations, maintenance and repairs including compliance checks.
  • Assist with the completion of necessary paperwork for permits and grid connection applications.

About You

We are looking for an experienced and motivated electrician with the following qualifications and skills:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
  • 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations Certificate.
  • Strong understanding of commercial and residential electrical systems and safety protocols.
  • Full UK Drivers License.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving abilities.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physical fitness and ability to work at heights.
  • Relevant MCS-recognised qualifications.
  • Experience in working with various solar PV design software.
