Barrington Solar is leading the transition to a cleaner, more sustainable future. As a fast-growing and innovative renewable energy company, we design, install and maintain high-quality solar PV, battery storage and EV charging solutions for homes and businesses across East Anglia and beyond.
As we continue to expand, we are looking for a motivated and organised Junior Project Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within the renewable energy sector, gaining hands-on experience across live projects while working alongside experienced professionals in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Submitting MCS & SEG paperwork
- Support the delivery of renewable energy and electrical projects from initial enquiry through to completion
- Prepare quotations, estimates and technical proposals
- Coordinate site surveys, installations, deliveries and access equipment
- Liaise professionally with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and installation teams
- Maintain project trackers, CRM systems and compliance records
- Assist with procurement, material ordering and delivery tracking
- Prepare commissioning documentation, O&M manuals and project handover packs
- Support DNO and ENA applications and wider project compliance activities
- Attend site visits to develop technical knowledge of renewable energy systems
- Assist with invoicing, project costing and tracking project variations and additional works
- Contribute to continual improvements across project delivery processes and documentation
About You
- We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic individual with a strong willingness to learn and develop within the renewable energy industry.
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft 365, including Excel and SharePoint
- Ability to manage multiple tasks across live projects
- Professional and customer-focused approach
- Full UK driving licence
- Genuine interest in renewable energy and low-carbon technologies
- Background in engineering, construction, renewables or electrical services
- Experience using CAD software or project management platforms
- Understanding of project delivery processes
- Positive, proactive and team-oriented mindset
