We are seeking a strategic access manager to join the commercial team of an innovative specialist healthcare company focusing on niche treatments for cardiology, blood management, gastroenterology, nephrology and women’s health. Your goal will be to improve patient access to effective treatments and catalyse higher standards of care in the UK and Ireland.
To accomplish this your main responsibilities will be to enhance affiliate performance through access, supporting market uptake and enabling sustainable growth outcomes.
The Role:
- You will work alongside stakeholders, supporting formulary inclusion, budget impact understanding and the implementations of pathways to access.
- Reporting into the value and access function and working extremely closely with medical, commercial and marketing teams.
Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with healthcare system stakeholders, supporting business case development and access.
- Maintain a strong understanding of national and local healthcare systems, ensuring coordinated engagement strategies across accounts.
- Develop joint account plans that define stakeholder engagement strategies, competitor landscape considerations and plans to enable access objectives.
- Develop and maintain a map of non-clinical decision makers to support optimal access to priority medicines and delivery of commercial objectives.
- Identify external market changes that may impact access opportunities as a regional expert.
Expectations:
- Degree or equivalent education.
- ABPI certification.
- Experience in Market Access, Account Management or relevant commercial roles within healthcare and life science.
- Ability to communicate clinical and economic information to non-clinically minded audiences.
- Proven ability to influence key stakeholders and spearhead change in commercial and access decisions.
- Understanding of industry codes of practice and regulatory pathways.
