Freelance National Key Account Manager (Oncology – Rare Disease | UK) - 12 Month Contract
I’ve just partnered with a pharmaceutical organisation entering an exciting growth phase, with multiple oncology assets launching in the UK over the coming years. They are now looking to appoint a National KAM to lead engagement across the UK for an upcoming rare disease launch.
The Role:This is a 12-month contract (outside IR35) focused on driving awareness and engagement across ~21 specialist sarcoma centres. 1 FTE
You’ll be working closely with:
- Oncologists & treating physicians
- Specialist nurses
- Hospital pharmacists
Organising educational meetings, dinner events, and satellite symposia, with a strong focus on building relationships and ensuring consistent engagement across all key stakeholders.
The Product:Rare disease oncology asset positioned in the later-line treatment setting (4th line) with strong clinical reception from physicians. Key challenge: driving awareness and engagement across the wider care team.
What They’re Looking For:- Strong oncology KAM / sales experience
- Rare disease experience is essential
- Experience working with TKIs highly preferred
- Proven ability to build networks from scratch (greenfield role)
- Highly driven, self-managing, and competitive mindset
There is also real scope for progression—with plans to build out the commercial team, this individual could step into a future leadership role (e.g. National Sales Manager).
